Reflection on guest speaker: Aidan

Reflection on guest speaker: Aida

In the talk with Aida she expressed a variety of experiences she's had since she'd moved to Carrigtwohill. She talked a lot about how shes had a generally good experience here and while shes experienced a bit of alienation she knows people arent really here are generally welcoming towards her if the general population isn't just a bit cold towards strangers in general especially the younger generation towards each other. Shes noted that  she'shappy to be able to raise her son here and isnt very afraid of letting him out and doesn't really fear he wont come home or get himself in trouble, she said she’d love to start a podcast for people who are migrants like herself and from all walks of life. Her big problem here when she was still here seeking asylum was that the government's support wasn't quite as receptive and helpful as it should've been bad support for people like herself.

She had said she's currently looking to move into a house of her own with her family but they're                 finding it really hard to do so but she's generally happy with how friendly people are in her                          community and she is good friends with people such as her neighbour.
