Reflection on the talk with Brian O'Reilly - Cillian

Due to actually living in Carrigtwohill myself, I feel that I know what the area and its people are like, and how the village is run, it is due to this reason that I appreciated the honesty in which Brian answered the questions given to him, he didn't try and completely sugar coat things, such as the rapid changes the village has gone through in the last 20 years from a social point of view. however I feel that he did try and over  exaggerate the community spirit nowadays. he also discussed his work I the community council which was fairly interesting as it gave me a broader view into the running of the facilities and over all decision making behind Carrig's infrastructure as such. He also discussed the growing population of foreigners coming into the community, saying that they have been welcomed with open arms and that a large majority of them have engrained themselves into the community, however being from Carrig, I haven't witnessed to many of these newcomers joining into the community spirit, of course some do, mainly the younger generation of kids going to school and joining the local GAA club, but other than that I personally haven't witnessed too much community spirit with them which is unfortunate, and is something the rest of the community will have to work on.
