Feedback plus presentation to Claire and Helen
After our initial presentation, maria asked us to be more specific on the idea of what our output will be?
our aim is to empathise with both of the generations. As we found there can be tensions between both groups not only in Carrigtwohill as it seems when talking as a group we feel similar things within our own community so find it easier to connect. It also helps that we have Cillian in our group who lives in Carrigtwohill so it is easier to get insights into Carrigtwohill. We hope in the first workshop to gain knowledge about each generation. Possible biases/ assumptions from their age group or what they think others might assume of their generation which they think is false or inaccurate. Hopefully bonding over similarities and differences and through the workshop breaking down barriers and possible assumptions by listening to both sides of the story using perspectives. We think a podcast is a great way to do this as we can share peoples stories by listening to both sides as well as interact after they are posted up on social media to strike a discussion further in the comments on youtube or Instagram.
Maria suggested we should cut down our icebreakers as we might not be able to get through them all
Claire & Helen's presentation interesting points and ideas made?

They work with Creativity & Change
creativity allows people to engage on a deeper level
social media campaign make posters about black lives matter formed online. no climate justice without racial justice. Made mural engaging and creating conversation it created vandalism every time it got defaced someone would fix I. Very engaging pice that people felt the need to deface and fix.
next project digital tools canva and photography increase public interaction send picture & their story and. Having our own pictures and stories on. Make something in a public space where people can interact and take photos in front of make signs etc.
having famous quotation or posters or of peoples stories. Having the face with peoples stories over it.
jr socially engaged art. pulling silly faces bonding over small things. Potholes that were filled after community council members were painted on.
yes men stunt where they take full responsibility when they didn't it started a bigger conversation than what was there before. bringing it to the attention of people who maybe dint know about the situation.
whats a struggle that you're having right now?
challenging assumptions?
things they would like to see in Carrigtwohill?
good platforms to use to make engagement?
Canva - posters animation- https://www.canva.com/
break your own news - https://breakyourownnews.com/
padlet - https://padlet.com/dashboard
jamboard - https://jamboard.google.com/u/0/
sessionlab for workshop plan - https://www.sessionlab.com/
What we could implement after listing to the presentation?
possibly making posters after the podcast of a quote said in the podcast and the picture of the person. so at the end to show examples that we made of ourselves o that they feel more comfortable.
possibly having the first half for the discussion for the podcast and the second half made for social media engagement so having Padlet/Jamboard questions exercises canva for posters as well as breaking news headlines on topics we discussed.
possibly sending questions and an interactive plan before the podcast just so they are less nervous so they can play around with the possible platforms we will be using.
making out workshop in sessionlab to make it easier with questions included and links to all the interactive things. looking for a more creative way to interact and finding suggested way.
