Final reflection - Zsolt Juriga

Final reflection I felt that I learned a lot from this module, it was something that was really unfamiliar to me initially since I'd never learned UX design before. I think the exercises we had during class were really useful for me with this, working as a group it was always great to see everyone's opinions and views on certain sites we would look at. Doing a podcast was really fun and I would absolutely be up to do it again. What I learned the most was that reaching out to smaller communities is really rewarding, seeing conversation build around an issue we think is important to address is immensely satisfying.   The buildup was slow when we started posting things but I think having a group of people is especially good for this because there are always ideas to bounce off of each other which I felt really helped us post things that were really appealing as we gave each other feedback consistently so our output could be as good as possible.

Final Reflection

Final Reflection  Personally, I learned a lot during the UX Design module. Most of the activities required to do dSEA were things I had never done before, specifically leading workshops. Our workshop doubled as a podcast recording so there was an additional pressure to perform well while catering to the participants and fulfilling our SEA goals. However, the fact we had created a full podcast based around the workshops by the end of the semester felt very rewarding.  Building audience engagement through social media was something I was a little more familiar with, but I definitely gained more experience in this field while campaigning for the podcast. It took a lot of perseverance through Weeks 10-13 to continue posting on our Instagram, and to continue reaching out to other people to promote for us. It did pay off however, as by Week 13 we had gained 108 followers on the account, and were promoted by 3 instagram accounts local to the Carrigtwohill area.

Community Feedback Reflection - Zsolt Juriga

Community Feedback We had finally gotten all our podcast edited together, we had a few great discussions on what direction to take our designs for that would appeal to people, things that would be eye-catching, and that people could also create a conversation around. Muireann had designed a logo that was great, although she shared a few designs at first that we discussed on what worked and what didn't as a group. We finally landed on a design that was both eye-catching and got our message across from a single glance.  We published our podcast and some quotes on social media. Which had some reception, we'd contacted some people in Carrig asking them to share our work and to get our project out there. They agreed and we managed to get a good number of people to view our work which we hope can create some conversation and make some serious change. The community seems happy with our work from what we've seen.

Zoom Workshop Younger Generation reflection - Zsolt Juriga

Zoom Workshop Younger Generation For the younger generation workshop myself, Mairead and Cillian had a talk with the younger generation of Carrigtwohill about their experiences, opinions and outlooks on living in Carrigtwohill. As we began our workshop we introduced ourselves and that we are the Perspectives podcast, the guests introduced themselves as well , at the start we had a few audio issues because one of the participants was walking as they were talking to us, because of this it made it harder for us to dissect some of the things our participants had said but we were able to work around it luckily and find  a solution during the meeting. Our first objective was to do an icebreaker, we'd asked our participants what they would say Carrig would be like if it was a person. They had great answers saying that carrig would be a fun and intelligent person which was a great thing to hear from someone from the younger generation that having grown up in Carrigtwohill had been a ...
